I don't think I've posted anything about her yet, so you must be thinking of someone else. Maybe Meiga (the first one), who is a Healer, or the baby alien who is named after her the Kansan Entrails AU?

Ooh, I remember that piece! Fanworks like that were my favorite thing about X-Men fandom. The fans really stepped up followed through on the implications of the concept when canon dropped the ball.

Something else I remember from X-Men fandom is that fanworks in unusual formats like that one would just pop up every so often. I even remember one of the archives (I think it's been taken down now) having a label for "experimental format." I haven't encountered so much willingness to try something like that in other fandoms.

it's stuff like this that makes me want to actually be involved in fandom, outside of cons.

maybe after my meds are fixed...
