1. From "Small Packages" (HL/MCU)
So, most likely, one would be supporting the Nazis and the other would be Resistance, as the house occupants had been.
It didn’t matter. Help would be nice, but Connor would kill both of them if that was what it took to get Rachel safely out of France.
2. From "The Veneer Job" (HL/Leverage/Undercover Blues. yes, really.)
"Sorry, man. We did come to talk but I couldn't let you run, either."
Matthew snorted. "You broke in after nine at night and thought it would go well? And here I took you for a professional."
3. From "Depth of Field" (HL, possible X-Files; not sure yet)
When Matthew opened the door, the only thing the locker held was a large florist’s box, big enough for a double-dozen long-stem roses at least.
He considered the damned thing, a muscle ticking along the side of his jaw, and debated whether he needed to evacuate the building.
His instincts said it wasn't a bomb, not a literal one.
Now I'm debating if I should start posting by chapters on AO3. ::sighs:: I hate posting WIPs, but I could use the comments and speculation to keep me focused on finishing a few things.
Oh, well. I've got to finish Small Packages today, so talk to folks later!
