Oh, yeah, that was fun!
Yesterday, we had a high of 98. Today, more like 78. 
draconis and I met my mother for brunch this morning and to take her a slightly early birthday present (she turns 75 tomorrow!). Come to think of it, I'm sensing a theme this week -- I met Pat_T for brunch Thursday!
Anyway. After brunch this morning, Dragon and I went walking by the Wolf River, to see if they'd finished extending the paths there into the next set of paths (the Germantown Greenline, for the curious). They have. We walked at least four miles, much of it in shade, and saw one grass snake, 6 turtles, lots of flowers, a couple butterflies, one good-sized copperhead (we gave him plenty of leeway), and one yellowjacket. Unfortunately, that last one got stuck on my shirt, panicked, and stung me. Right where all my bras will rub it constantly. Ow.
Oh, well, the rest of it was fun and I came home to sign-ups for
spook_me and Dragon's gone off to the Japanese festival at the Botanic Garden. Yay! Fall's here!
