Eee! Spook_Me is back!
My favorite low-stress annual challenge is back. 
spook_me is for horror/monster themed fic and this year, they're doing fairy tale/children's stories themed prompts! I just signed up. (I think the only year I've missed this was one where I'd just moved during the sign-up period....)
General info: They'll send two prompts -- illustrations from children's stories, fables, and fairy tales this year -- and you either pick a monster from the list or get them to send you one. Then you write. Any fandom including RPF, any length including drabbles and epics, and if it starts stressing you out, stop writing. (Yes. Really. That's in the rules.)
