Does no one proofread anymore?

I thought it was pretty bad when Missouri accidentally outlawed sex for a while in the mid-'90s.  (They were trying to ban certain types of sex and had no skill at placing commas.  And why is it no version of that sentence sounds quite clean?)   That's pretty bad, but it's entirely possible that a 2005 law to ban gay marriage in Texas may well have banned any marriage in Texas.  "This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage."  That sentence occurs in the law after a definition of marriage as being one man and one woman.  I'm thinking ''Oops" is a fair response to this.

politics, homosexuality, easily amused
