It's only Tuesday
I think today was productive. Got a few things accomplished that I wanted to. Even got a nice surprise too.
Amanda was actually able to tape Heroes for us last night, after calling us about 7:40pm to let us know they couldn't get it to work. She played around with the VCR a bit more after hanging up, and managed to get it to work. Of course, I found this out this morning... after seeing that they're re-airing the premiere tonite at 7pm (Erik said he'd tape it for me while I gamed). So that was a nice surprise.
The accomplishments mostly entail getting my eye exam claim sent off to my insurance, finally getting the approval needed for the Holiday promotional advertising for the deli, and getting things in motion for the new deli A-sign (one that'll last longer than the current one has). We'll see how all that goes today.
I was also close to being able to take the car in to work, as Erik stayed home today... but he thought he might be feeling better enough to head in in the afternoon, so I walked. He didn't go in to work though, still not feeling that great... but he won't come pick me up either as 've a package to take home as well. I was also planning on taking some other stuff home, stuff that I'd like to have with dinner... but I can't now cuz I have no place to put it. I didn't bring my backpack today... why I even bother to not carry it is beyond me now. Every time I don't think I need it, I have a whole crapload o'stuff that I need to take home. *shakes fist at self* I don't really want to walk home carrying the box either, as it's very awkward... maybe I can find a bag big enough to carry it in.
Was planning on taking some macaroni salad home today, it's really good and I thought it'd be something to have with the leftover pizza tonite too. Guess that ain't gonna happen cuz I have /nothing/ to carry it in. Grrr.
So yeah, I've had my downers too today... but hopefully things'll pick up for me again. *shrugs*
I was planning on writing more, but I just realized I have a whole boatload o'stuff left to do here and it's gettin' close to closing... it'll take me up until close to get everything done now... so off I go. Yippee.
PS: I hate the dreams where I get up and go to work... cuz those days I have to go to work twice.
