*creeee-eek* *shuffle* *cough* *Looking about and thinking it sure is dusty in here* *Is this thing on?*
Amazingly I am actually writing something. Could this be just a random posting or has something else gone on in my life? Actually I guess the right answer would be a little of both. Just recently passed the 4th year of my brother passing, almost a year and a half since Heather passed and coming up on 17 years of marriage. Hard to believe sometimes...Seems it wasn't all that long ago I got out of the service. Just passed the 27th year since I entered the Navy last month, been 20.5 years since I got out.
The wifey and I have never really been in a position to do much for our anniversary, usually a nice dinner out is about it. But its always been enough for me and I hope for her. I know I am not the easiest person to get along with in a close enviroment but I try to be what she needs.
I finally gave in to the pressure from the dr. and her and did the sleep studies and now I too have a cpap machine as I have sleep apnea as well. The Dr. wants me on some oxygen when I sleep but I refused that. The machine is probably going to be more then what I can afford but that isn't my biggest concern. For those who know my family history of this disease and my dad's progression specifically knows everytime they do something to make it easier on him, his body becomes dependent on it and it just keeps getting worse and worse. I will freely admit the machine helps a LOT, I don't get up 3-4 or more times a night to go to the bathroom, I don't lay there when first going to sleep and cough my fool head off or almost gag to death on drainage. Its been really amazing sleeping a full 7-8 hours, or maybe getting up once during the night to go to the bathroom. It takes a little bit to get use to, but I found if I just say to myself I have to do this so put up with it it made it a lot easier, hardest part was getting a mask that worked and was comfortable. I really wanted to try the nasal pillows first, a simple device that fits into/plugs the nostrils and the air pressure keeps the soft tissues open. But the tech said I should try the mask that sits around the nose first, that most people find it the most comfortable. I don't know about that I sure didn't. I gave it a week and a half trial so they can't say I just didn't want it. It put me in some sever pain. Now I have the nasal pillows and its MUCH better.
If you snore/told you snore, if you wake with morning headaches, still feel tired after sleeping all night (there are a WHOLE list of symptoms
http://clarian.org/ADAM/doc/HealthIllustratedEncyclopedia/1/000811.htm) I really recommend talking to your dr. and getting checked. The sleep study itself is...well I won't lie, its a pain in the ascii. But its easy enough to deal with and the condition is something that you need to treat.
OMG...This past weekend as many people know is a weekend that is special to my family it was the yearly MDA telethon, the telethon was a success, I was surprised they got as much as they did so if you gave I say THANK YOU! Though apparently last year a lot of people who made pledges must not have followed through on sending in the money as they repeated reminded people that making a pledge is making a promise to send in the money. But on the telethon they had this comedian that totally, totally, TOTALLY blew me away and I went out on the web and did a search and found him.

Please, do not drink anything while watching this short clip, I nearly blew pepsi all over the place. I have watched several of his videos on youtube and they are nothing short of kick ascii funny. Might not be totally kid friendly, but they have worse language in a pg movie so...He is like Jonathon Winters meets Louie Anderson meets Gilbert Godfried meets Robin Williams. This man is so totally kick ascii...I really, really, really hope he comes to Indy sometime in the near future, I can't think of anyone else I would rather go see then this man!
Lets see anything else I wanted to blab about? Pepsistuff...*sigh* you know when this first started I thought it was pretty cool...at least musically...but as time has passed its like Amazon or Pepsi decided to start limiting what was available through the pepsistuff promotion, though I have gotten some really nice songs a lot of songs I would love I can't because there is no pepsi pts check out for them. I was beginning to think I was wasting my time enter codes and saving up pts. then I found I could download full episodes of my fave show!
If you get the Sci-fi channel and haven't watched Eureka on Tuesday nights...man you should watch...the show is an awesome show. It entertains and it has a moral compass. Now before you go oh brother, forget that, give it a chance. Shows today don't really have good role models in my opinion. The lead character Sheriff Jack Carter played by the extremely talented Colin Ferguson is in my opinion a great role model. Anyway I now have the first season of the show as download files, hope to one day own the dvd set along with the Voyager dvds.
I've recently tried getting back into programming again and trying to learn how to use directx to render graphics...only problem is the lack of information on how to do it. The help files from MS are sterile and in my belief user unfriendly. I did find some books really cheap on the subject so I am hoping to be reading up on it soon.
At any rate I have taken enough of your time if your still reading this I mean. Babecakes I love you!!
