No...not WoW in exclamantion...WoW as in World of Warcraft.
Between getting over some bug that has been a persistant, annoying pain...and taking the 10 day free trial of WoW, I have been MIA in a lot of things I do. Let me just say this about WoW...they did the free trial right...They got me as a customer out of it, before my time was up. And the world is a huge place...very few restrictions and a leveling limit of 20th which gets you into the heart of a lot of the world. I also took EQ2's free trial...as some know that is a game my wife really loves and she has been trying to get me to play it. About the only thing I really liked about the game was the way yuou had slight adjustment control over physical aspects of the characters...kind of Sims 2'ish. I was unimpressed when my computer crashed twice before I got through the tutorial section (about a 5 minute instance), the 2nd time it trapped the character in the tutorial so I had to create a new character. The trial limited you to this one section of the world and you were limited to level 6. Needless to say I reached that the first night in the matter of 2 hours maybe...I spent the next day playing around learning a little about the crafting system.
So I was torn...buying and playing a game I think is a better game (for me) or buying and playing a good game that my wife wants me to. Off to Game Stop I travel and standing there looking at the rack I was still undecided as to which to get when I noticed they had WoW on sale, 20 bucks cheaper. SOLD! *laugh* Though now she has been playing the 10 day trial that came with my game and has been really enjoying it...enough to talk about getting it for her. Wasn't all that long ago how she talked about her friends on EQ2 telling her how rude and nasty people were on WoW and how everyone of them that left to go play it came back with the same stories...Now I am not saying they are wrong, but maybe they got in the wrong type server.
The bug? Not really sure...it for sure was an ear/sinus thing...I had the pressure/pain of sinus but the equalibrium problems of an inner ear thing going on. And the most horrendous joint and muscle pains. Now I live in 24/7 muscle pain mainly limbs and shoulders, but whatever was going on was kicking it into high gear and causing the joints to hurt...that was a bit much...oh and then there was the sleep problem...*sheesh* get 1-1/2 to 2 hours of sleep wake up and go to the bathroom all night long...this went on for so many days my sleep schedule is all messed up. Then there was the freezing cold my upper body got, but my feet burning up, so I would stick my legs out from under the covers, then my chest would get too hot so I would uncover for a few seconds and then have to cover back up...cold sweats...clamy...just miserable...very mild. low grade fever one night...about 99.5 Now to some that isn't a fever, but when I normally operate at 97.1, give or take .5 degrees...that's a fever. *laugh* I use to make jokes...I use to love this one radio station here and it's frequency was 97.1
Hope your all doing well! Hope your New Years is off to a roaring success!
