A belated thank you to everyone who commented on my “Question for Spuffy fans” (concerning the comics)
post from two weeks ago. That post got a lot more feedback than I was expecting, and it was really neat to host a huge discussion like that on my journal for the first time. ☺ I was also happy to see that while a few people indicated that they would be inclined to leave (temporarily or permanently) fandom if Joss destroyed Spuffy in S9 a la Bangel in S8, the majority of commenters affirmed that they could take the comics or leave them and that a S9 implosion wouldn’t taint their love for TV show Spuffy. In any case, it’s nice to see such a breadth of opinion, and here’s hoping that the
flirty!Spuffy preview pages presage great Spuffy development in S9.
Chip and Dale are really the only original characters of whom I’ve ever been fond (don’t care much for the Mouse himself, etc.). Besides the fact that they’re adorable, it’s one of those situations where again, I connect with the characters. If I recall from my childhood correctly, Dale (the red-nosed one) was my favorite because he was the sweet, nice one, but I also liked Chip because I could totally relate to scheming, bossy-pants characters. Also, they come as a pair, and I like friends/brothers who squabble a lot but at the end of the day have each other’s backs no matter what. Here’s one of my favorite Chip ‘n’ Dale cartoons:
