Well this makes me irrationally happy
IMDB has a daily poll that I almost always fill out, and the question today is "Which of these couples, featured in a TV series that aired in the last decade and destined to be together, is your favorite?" I approached this with some dread, as I expected Buffy/Angel to be one of the choices, since "destined" is usually that ship's catchphrase. But lo and behold, the BtVS pairing is Spike and Buffy! Furthermore, the only couples currently beating them are Ross & Rachel and Pam & Jim (The Office) (and c'mon let's face it- no one is ever going to beat Ross & Rachel in a destined-to-be-together ship war)! I know for some Spuffy fans the word 'destined' in and of itself is a turn off and that so much of the appeal of Spuffy is in the fact that it's not inevitable and they grow to love each other, but in this instance IMDB's wording doesn't bother me. I'm just glad they have such good taste.* :)
