After what seemed like a month of tedious nothing, yesterday had been remarkably eventful.

A little before seven, Gwendal had awoken, feeling refreshed. He'd gotten dressed and then proceeded to pace in his room, for what seemed like ages. He'd attempted to pick up a novel to read, only to set it down having no interest in the words.

Then he'd stare out the window, but nothing was happening outside. The temptation to return to his office was strong, but he resisted. He wondered what was taking Anissina so long. He was so confident that she'd show up at some un-godly hour and wake him up.

But when that didn't happen he was at a loss. Maybe he didn't know his friend quite as well as he thought he did.

And it was as he was pondering this, sitting at his end table with a game of chess where he was playing against himself that his door burst open to reveal the lady in question.

"Morning!

She was wearing riding clothes as opposed to her dress and he would have to admit that they certainly flattered her fit figure. He on the other hand simply wore his green uniform, it was quite comfortable after all, made for both battles and ceremony.

"Good morning," he greeted. His blue eyes grew wide with appreciation at the sight and smell of the breakfast pastries. "Are you trying to make me fat, Nisa?"

Damn he's dressed

Anissina beamed at him. "No, silly, I just don't want you falling off your horse before we're half way there from hunger."

She looked at him curiously. "You're wearing your uniform? That's not very relaxed. Remember" Her finger went up in the air as she smiled at him. "It's a day away from work and full of relaxing. Surely you must have something in your wardrobe more ... less ..." She gestured to the greenery. "that!"

Without waiting for an answer, she stormed his wardrobe, flinging the doors open and diving amidst the many, many sets of green uniforms.

He watched her look through his closet and suppressed a laugh as all she would find were his uniforms. Perhaps she had a point though, he had a few clothes outside of his green military uniform.

After being on Earth and boring some of Shori's clothes he grew to like some of the taylored suits, and it was a matter of fact that Gwendal had to dress sharp, be in uniform or taylored suit.

"The castle will certainly be busy today with Conrad, Yozak, and Dan Hiri's return." The last name is said more sharply than the others, harsh feelings die hard. "I'd like to greet Conrad before we leave." He's unsure if Anissina has already done so, but it would certainly be less awkward for him were he to greet his brother casually with her in his presence. He wasn't ready for some heart-to-heart, but just a simple 'hello, good that you have returned,' on his part would suffice.

"I have something else," he said rising to his feet and walking past Anissina to the furthest depths of his wardrobe closet. He pulled out a pair of dark gray slacks and jacket with a maroon button up shirt. He showed them to Anissina, "Better?"

Anissina paused in her rampage through the wardrobe, looking back at him. "Of course, I didn't know that was today. If you want to put it off..."

She had quite a sad look on her face as she turned back to the wardrobe, trying to hide it from Gwendal. She shook off the feeling, physically at least as Gwendal held up the not-Gwendal-looking clothes. She smiled. "Yeah, that looks more relaxed."

She scrunched her nose a little as a dust mote distracted her. "Why do men always wear such tight things as trousers? I mean, they can hardly be comfortable, you know, all tied up and constrained. I mean a skirt is nothing to look at but it's a lot looser and allows free movement. Hmmm... wouldn't it be funny to see all the guys in skirts. Cheri would probably laugh but I was reading about this tribe up in the mountains of... oh somewhere more northern... and they wear skirts all the time, cept they don't call them skirts but it's got to be colder up there and skirts might not be good. I wonder if they have to wear bloomers like girls..."

She didn't know why she was babbling but she was and if she didn't turn it off soon, Gwendal was going to think that she was weird, or at least weirder than he already thought she was and oh my god now she was starting to brain ramble as well as mouth ramble...

She closed her mouth quickly, cutting the sentence off mid word.

As she rambled about skirts and loose fittings for legs Gwendal moved to stand behind her, without warning his enclosed his arms around her frame and pulled her back flush to his chest. He leaned down and kissed her neck gently.

"Would you prefer if we just wore nothing at all? I'm certain that would be the most comfortable clothing we could wear," he said softly in her ear.

He then released her, gave a tug on her ponytail and took his clothing with him to his bathrooms to change.

"Meep!" She squeaked as she was pulled close to him. Her eyes closed as Gwendal nuzzled her. She was breathless when she spoke again. "I'm not sure naked counts as clothes..."

And then she was released and suddenly colder. She watched Gwendal's cocky walk as he headed towards the bathroom. Waiting until the door closed, she let herself collapse against the wardrobe door.

"I will not think of Gwendal naked. I will not think of Gwendal naked. I will not think of Gwendal naked just behind that door. I will not think of Gwendal naked and stretching. I will not think of Gwendal naked, hot and sweaty. I will not think of Gwendal naked and lying on the grass with the sun on his skin..." Anissina stopped. The mental rant she was currently on was not exactly helping her to relax.

I will not think of Gwendal naked and lying on the grass with the sun on his skin...

Gwendal stepped out of his bathroom to hear Anissina's thoughts. He cleared his throat, a wicked gleam in his eyes. "Shall we be off then? I'd like for us to walk past Conrad's room so I can greet him."

He crosses the length of his room and extends his hand towards her to guide her to her feet. "Our fishes await!"

Anissina eeped again at Gwendal's reappearance. Had he heard? That was it. He was going to think her insane.

She nodded. "That sounds like a plan! I'd like to see him myself. Just to make sure..."

She shivered as the thoughts of the past two months went through her mind.

Shaking it off, she took Gwendal's hand and let him lift her to her feet. She was glad that she had gotten the provisions together this morning at the crack of dawn, fishing poles and all.

He kept her hand wrapped possessively by his own as he led her out of his room and down the hall to Conrad’s room.
