My wonderfully introspective wife has managed to put to electric paper most of what I have been feeling in a much more eloquent way than I ever could.  Likely, if you're reading this, you are also friends with her, so feel free to read hers and then come back here.  In short, I don't like being depressing, or sad, or melodramatic,

Seriously though, it is good that you have found a path to making the game better for you. I don't have much in the way of suggestions (in that most of mine are "stories that don't involve turnips"), but I'm sure that people smarter than me will think of something. Good luck!

Weasel Trousering Olympics 2013. Were going to be in Rhomurge but are now in Trechele. I was there, it got voted on and everything. Our team's run down, underdogs, needs a real Patches O'Houlihan. I think Grum could be that man.

We don't really spend much time at game so you may already be doing this, but just in case I would recommend trying an external goal. Specifically something to achieve, to earn, preferably with stepping stones. I don't know Grum well enough to know what a good achievment would be, but by way of illustration of what I'm talking about, consider arch mages. To become an archmage you have to first join a guild. Then you get trained as a high mage. Then you convince them to help you become an arch mage. I believe then there's a task or quest of some sort and then finally you become an archmage and get a cool name and skills, etc. The point being that at the end of it you have earned something, but there are intermediary steps to also earn and when you're done it's a natural window to other things to pursue.

I know a lot of people are running into the no goal problem lately. Hopefully Grum can find a plethora of things that need to be whacked with a giant hammer.

I always enjoy those little moments when I get to see the softer side of Grum, gushing about his lovely wife. It's a nice reminder for Terra that the world isn't all bad and that there is hope for a brighter future. Yup - grum IS beer and flowers. :)

Oh and I heard about the heart to heart with Nev'lith. DIES OF LAUGHING.
