Elena has imaginary friends. Engee, Oingy, and Ben. There are a few others too, but those are the main three. She talks about Engee all the time.
Jasper had a few imaginary buddies too, so I'm used to it, but some people aren't sure how to deal with it. The SIL was all...Who is she talking about?? So I explained. But now she treats them kind of like and inside joke. And that's not what they are to her. So.
Anyway, part of me thinks it is really time to find this little girl some real friends. I know that Engee won't go away, but I kinda feel like she might be lonely. She is VERY close to being potty trained, so we are going to look into preschool for her. School was a huge motivator on the whole puttin-it-in-the-toilet thing. Potty training comes with it's own giggles and frustrations. At gymnastics today, she said she had to go potty and went in when I didn't see her and when I found her she was standing in the middle of the bathroom talking to some girls in just her pullup. Getting in and out of a leotard is a challenge!
I totally love watching them grow and change. It is just the greatest gift in the whole world and I am very thankful that I have been given the time and have the perspective to enjoy it. I love seeing the differences in their personalities. Like from day one, if the TV was on, Elena tunes right in to it. She LOVED her Baby Einstein video. Lillian, on the other hand, has no use for it. She will look at the TV for a little while but has many other things she would rather do. Like climb every surface. Or kiss everything.
I'm going to stop writing right now, but I am going to post again tonight. I want to get some of the pics of things I have been making in here. Sorry if it mucks up your friend's page!
