I'm seeing the Doyle production of Sweeney Todd again tomorrow evening at ACT. (You can read my take on the production here.) Someone taunted me yesterday with the news that there is a production of Sweeney Todd being mounted in Second Life. He was only joking, praise be, but I can't shake the idea from my head. How exactly would such a production be accomplished?!?!

Roundabout has a production (with new translation) of Threepenny Opera up at Studio 54, with Alan Cumming (MacHeath), Jim Dale (Mr. Peachum), Ana Gasteyer (Mrs. Peachum), and Cyndi Lauper (Jenny). I just bought tickets for paraviondeux and me to see Sweeney Todd, starring she who is surely the most famous tuba player ever.

Incidentally, this will be our fourth time seeing Mr. Cerveris in a Sondheim opus (having seen him in Passion in D.C., Assassins in NYC, and Anyone Can Whistle in Chicago).
