ooc: for my darling sally mun :) set during their childhood cause well, why not :D
She hadn't let up for days and days. The minute the first of October came around, Sally clung to Linus as if she was drowning and he was the only life preserver around. Hell, the way she acted made Linus wonder if she would've kicked a person off of the flotation device just to use it. It kind of scared him.
It seemed no matter where he was, she was right there. "Can I sit with you for Hallowe'en? Can I? Please, my sweet baboo? Please? I want to sit with you, come on." Several variations of that request occured at the most random times. When he was leaving the bathroom at school. In the middle of left field at the baseball diamond. Under his bed, when he was trying to hide from Lucy. She was everywhere and wouldn't let up until finally, he exploded during one of Schroeder's recitals.
"Fine!," he exclaimed, raising his arms in exasperation. "You can sit with me, but you complain you're not getting candy, and I swear, you're never allowed to be near me again." He tried his best to sound angry, but Sally always had this way of hearing the words and not the tone. With a sweet smile, she hugged him and then promptly told him to shush, Schroeder was playing beautiful music.
On Hallowe'en, even though she dressed up as a fairy princess, and even though all the other kids went out trick-or-treeting, she stayed with him that entire night in the pumpkin patch. Without any words, he put out a bag of candy, and quietly, they stayed late into the night, munching away on toffees and chocolate.
If someone had asked him prior to that night if Sally could shut up, he would've said no, but he learned then that in actuality, Sally wasn't that annoying.
