Random :: the telephone
Was on Pinterest, randomly browsing (yes, M I do go there on occasion). Stumbled on this....
Reminded me of the lengths I would go to avoid making phone calls as a kid. Extreme lengths. And to this day, I avoid answering the door, never answer the home phone, & only answer my cell if I recognize the caller ID and feel like talking. Thank the gods for caller ID and voicemail. Seriously. Life savers. And it wasn't until I saw this above that I realized this particular idiosyncrasy is an introvert quality. Never occurred to me. I had to come to terms with this weirdness (& hide it) when I was in 7th grade so I long ago stopped thinking about it. It just simply, IS.
