Just haven't posted in about a month and a half... partly due to a family vacation for all of December.
Anyways, not much happened. Back to school, into study pattern, gearing up for an awesome afterparty to our school play this Thursday. Writing's been a little slow, but I'm alright with it. The Powerpuff Girls Movie: The Novelization is almost done the 3rd chapter (of 9). Hope you all haven't missed me much!
Mostly, I've got a new video game today:
Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure. I've been planning to get this ever since October, but had to delay due to many reasons. I'd only ever played a Spyro game once before this, and I didn't remember it much, so I had no bias. And my verdict...
IT WAS AWESOME!
While easy thus far, level creativity and storyline is much better then most game's of it's type, or any Spyro game in the last few years anyway. The game's most unique point it the whole figurines thing. You probably already know, but it comes with three figurines (Spyro, Gill Grunt & Trigger Happy) and a portal of power. Plugging that to your console and placing the figurines on it puts them in the game, as characters. More are available to buy. The figurines remember their level-up stats and moves and everything, and you can bring them to another person's console or game and use them.
All that alone makes the game worth a look. But it's charm and downright fun makes this a real winner. I've noticed that it's managed to sell 2.23 million copies across Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, 3DS & PC thus far. That's better sales then any of the Legend Of Spyro games, and with extra revenue from the other figurines, Activision is sitting on a goldmine, methinks. Just be warned; your kids or younger siblings or cousins are gonna go nuts over the figurines and collecting them, just like we did with Pokémon. Although loads of adults and teenagers are playing it too, I've heard. The game gets a 8.7. I eagerly await the next game. Skylanders 2: Cynder's Adventure anyone?
So... yeah. Nice chatting with you fellas!
