My favorite artists
I took out the dead people sadly from my front page-diane arbus, r.b. kitjai, and even the goddess for many women artists-eva hesse. Some of these people I only like some of the work. the last Jacki winsors I saw were awful. The woodruff museum used to and maybe still owns a really terrific work of hers. they also, own a nice early work of elizabeth murray--although sometimes it seems a little boring in contrast to her later work. It's odd but generally speaking I like early work more than the "mature" work of many artists. Mark Rothko's early work was incredible. I guess it's the struggle I'm into.
