Back to school again...!!!
I know I bitch and moan about school all the fricken' time. So what's the deal? I am really fuckin' excited for school to begin tomorrow (more like today actually...). Maybe it is because I finally kicked some law school butt - or at least feel like I did. The Women's Studies truly does it for me, and while I am not looking forward to the commute or my colleagues, I can say that Mankato will be a welcome change from the day to day dullness that is winter break.
Winter break was wonderfully unproductive. I watched a crap load of TV and movies, read actual books that I am interested in, made great progress in the Dutch language and studied whatever I wanted (namely astrology and tarot). I even prepared my resume and cover letters to submit for summer internships! Still, it all took place within the tiny, but surprisingly cozy walls of our crappy apartment and I look forward to getting out of bed in the morning to head somewhere rather than the kitchen and the living room. I made New Year's resolutions for the first time in a decade and feel better about myself and life than I have in a long time. I know this feeling is short lived and that soon, I will be swamped, or even drowning in legal nonsense...but for now, I am excited about Indian (as in Native American Law), Poverty law and Constitutional law - liberties (free speech and what-not) at Mitchell and Global Feminism and Feminist Theories. I am looking forward to the spring.
