Summer Opportunities
The time has come. The summer job/employment/internship search is on. Well, technically, it has been on since last August but that's for those who want to go into corporate law at huge firms in large cities. The public interest/family law spots are just starting to be advertised and the competition is fierce. I feel the pressure.
Last summer, the choice was easy. Study abroad in Amsterdam to study sexual orientation law. Now, I feel like I have enough theoretical knowledge and enough volunteer experience to take it up to the next level. But at the same time, there are so many opportunities, how do you know which one to take? And there is so much effort that goes into applying, there is the pressure of interviews and all that....oi. I am at a crossroads. Not only that, but there is so much at stake and it is all out of my hands. I hate not having control.
Luckily, I know that WPS is always a backup. But the fact that it is even in the back of my mind makes my heart frown.
