I read the Rum Diaries once and hated it. It was overly pretentious and singularly unengaging. Though it was an admirable attempt at trying to emulate Ernest Hemingway. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas was a mediocre book at best (the movie was sweet if only because of Johnny Depp). The reasons for Hunter S. Thompson's popularity have always eluded me. And now he's dead by one of the most ignoble ways-his own hand. Which will undoubtedly further spur aforementioned popularity and accentuate his alleged relevance and significance as an author and 'journalist'.
Needless to say, I'm eagerly awaiting my next Rolling Stone which will almost undoubtedly be a dedication issue. Well, I have to have something to read while I'm using the commode.
Now on to the other purpose a blog is supposed to fulfill (that is to say, talking about myself rather than spouting my bloated opinions to a crowd of maybe 3).
I saw Constantine tonight. It lived up to my expectations, i.e. it's dog shit. I got some free Reese's Pieces out of the deal though, and I got to laugh at the cross-crosshair.
My car is still in the body shop. I'm driving my mom's Mini and the clutch is way too soft. WHINE.
