Everybody I've been speaking to have been in the throes of paranoia and terror, but I don't happen to see much else different than what's been happening since I arrived. It's simply in a... let's say, a more obvious fashion. Apples have fallen in our Eden, and the serpents are out to kill. That's heavy handed symbolism if I've ever seen it

I think I understand how you feel, but I don't agree at all. It's nice to relax and take a break when you need it, but ignoring what's going on doesn't make it better. I agree some people need to be more careful though.

I said nothing about ignoring it. No matter how you look at it, that's impossible unless you're blind, deaf and dumb. You can hardly go for a walk without hearing or seeing something. All I'm saying is that not everybody can fight, and not every can be - or wants to be - a hero.

Maybe I'm misreading you then. It seemed fairly laid back to tell everyone not to worry and to go eat burgers instead.

Ah, yes. I said that I was going to go eat a burger myself. I'd advise others to eat whatever culinary decadence of their choosing.

I will admit that my outlook is a laid back one, yes. Consider it a message to those who are too weak or afraid to respond to every anonymous posting and every mystery.

It seems like a false sense of security though... maybe I'm being too paranoid myself.

Yes, burgers have to be my favorite indulgence. Cheap, too, which isn't something to sneeze at.

Maybe it's false, maybe, but we've got little else unless we want to skulk around like strays for the rest of our years.
