Weddings

I keep saying, "I need to focus on the move on the 15th and think less about the wedding."

But...
I'm really giddy that T is okay with me having a man of honor. He was hesitant at first, but when I explained my reasoning, he was okay with it. And while I know some awesome ladies, I'm not really close with anyone. Whoo-hoo!

And, on the flip side, an adorably insulting congratulations:
"I'm sooo happy you're getting married, because then there's hope for me."
heh...heh... gee, thanks?

Also, my grandmother sent me a birthday card. Her handwritten addition to the card was:
"If you want a dryland wedding, you are welcome to my backyard!
But if you want a 'lake side' wedding you might try Uncle Dave!
But if you want another more traditional (dry land), Uncle Jim can come up with a white tent back yard type such as his son used for his wedding.
Take your pick. Some may require more input from owners than others.
Love, your Granni."

I laughed, because while the country side is pretty, Indiana is not close. Lake side=ginormous pond. "More tradtional (dry land)"= surrounded by corn fields. And I love how she lays out my options so plainly, as if I had asked to have the wedding up there. Now, many of my cousins have gone that route, but many of my cousins grew up within 40 miles of granni. I should write back and gently tell her that we'll stay in North Texas.
