Texas should be warmer than this. I grudgingly had to turn on my heater. Normally I just mooch off the apartment below (bad insulation + heat rises= warm second floor apartment), but the downstairs tenant is gone to work. Curses.

Yesterday I argued with a guy who wanted Watchmen to be more faithful to the book, but trashed Zach Synder for not "breathing new life" into the story. I told him that he did change things, but if he had told a completely different story, he would have been torn to shreds by rabid fanboys. The customer didn't agree, and said that Iron Man came out great, and was both faithful and different. Yeah, but Iron Man isn't "the most celebrated graphic novel of all time"/"one of the 100 greatest novels of all time." No Iron Man story has been raised to that level. I think once your story gets up to that point, you can't screw with it.

Aside from that guy comparing Watchmen to Elektra (yeeesh, lighten up), most people seem to like it pretty well. And most people don't seemed horrendously bugged by the frequent male nudity. I heard legend of someone seeing a mother yelling at a cinema manager, furious that her young son is now scarred from what he saw.
Stupid people. It's rated R. What more warning do you need?
