Weekend! (and again, another overused title)

Work was a rollercoaster this week. I'm not sure if I'm really achieving anything significant. *le sigh* A project that I've been working for for months now has not been approved yesterday. And again, I question my ability and my competency in this current job; I question my age and accomplishments in the midst of mature, more successful people. Maybe I'm a misfit, trying too hard. Maybe I should go.

But then again, as I look at the other side, I'm happy with the work that I do. So, yeah, I really don't know anymore. :(

I'M GLEE SOUNDTRIPPING. Right now I have Ice Ice Baby ... actually I like all of the rap songs that Matthew Morrison did, but this is my favorite for some reason. Last night I think I had Chris Colfer's version of Defying Gravity on repeat for an hour, and Somebody To Love was on repeat for nearly the entire day yesterday. I finally had all of the OSTs and some select singles in TGM 2.0

Ice ice baby, vanilla ice ice baby ...

Why do I feel that this will be part of my official soundtrack for this year's NaNoWriMo effort? XDDDDDD Why am I even thinking about NaNoWriMo now?

I finished reading Good Omens this week. LOVED IT. It was the funniest Neil Gaiman book I've read, and that's probably on account of Terry Pratchett's intervention.

Oh, Crowley and Aziraphale can make a great power couple. *facepalm* I'm weird, I know.

Still on the subject of books, I think I'm halfway down Genji Monogatari. *shakes head* It's such a hard read, really. The text is beautiful, but there's too much information to absorb in even the shortest chapters, I feel. Here's what I discovered though - the viewpoint of the narrator is very confined, like the poor are considered detestable, while the rich and noble are revered and their "nobleness" is exaggerated to the point of it being laughable (to me).

Still, the poetry is good. XD

I've started to read The Lost Symbol. So, I'll be occupied with that for the rest of the weekend. Toodles.
