Implosion

I finally had a decent weekend. And just like any decent weekend, it was soon over.

Here's how it went down.

--- --- ---

Friday - I did that responsorial psalm thing and left. I arrived in Makati before 10:30, which was a very decent time. I bought a ticket to watch Inception (my mom finds this odd, the thing of watching a movie by my lonesome), but not before going to Powerbooks to buy three Neil Gaiman books (Good Omens, Smoke and Mirrors and Fragile Things). After having lunch I went to Qoola to get my fix (finally!), ate my yogurt while reading through Good Omens, watched Inception then went back to the parents' office. Got a ride to Friday practice. By the time the day was over, I was raring to go to bed.

Saturday - dentist appointment. Badminton from 3PM to 6PM. My mood got spoiled because of my parents, but that's the risk I took with tagging along with them, so yeah. Accompanied them to SM and watched them buy an LCD TV with purely gift certificates. I was in awe.

Sunday - the usual assignments. Groceries. Therapy. Watched George of the Jungle. Mama complained that the TV was too big. I, on the other hand, wasn't too awed with the size. I thought it was perfect.

There was no Internet the whole day yesterday, so I had all the time to catch up with my reading. As of today, I'm already nearing the end of Good Omens. How come I don't get that kind of reading pace with Genji Monogatari?!

Oh, the responsorial psalm thing turned out okay. For me it was shaky during the first part, but when it got to the verses it was better. The brother loved it, the priest who officiated the mass loved it too (I was told awhile ago). Right now one of the associate vice chancellors told me that I sung the song from the heart and at the back of my mind I thought "did she meant that I sang it as if I was in love? The parents loved it when I showed the video to them Friday night. It seems that again, I'm the only one who thinks it was so-so. I believe I am my own worst critic. XD

Inception was a good movie, but a bit hard for the mind. I'm glad that I watched it on a Friday and not a Sunday.

Aside from that, I was happy to see Lolo Ken Watanabe, above else. And I was really expecting Dora The Explorer to be in the movie. Spoof lang pala yun.

Dragonball Evolution premiered in Star Movies last night. I LOL'D.
