I did it. I fell in line for more than two sweltering hours, had my personal space violated, got scared crazy by a DepEd teacher volunteer who scolded this guy who tried to vote twice in our precinct (and if I may sidenote, parang tanga lang yung taong yun!), shaded the appropriate egg-shaped circles in my ballot and loaded the same into the PCOS and prayed hard that the controversial machine will congratulate me in successfully exercising my right to vote.

And for accomplishing this much, I got my personalized purple manicure.

It's a chore to vote. So is waiting in line for a concert or buying that favorite outfit in a midnight madness sale. It's but a matter of mindset.

Now that the voting will soon be over and done, I try to remember now what will be missed. I can only think of two things:

1. May Bilog na Hugis Itlog - GMA's Voter's Education Campaign. Demmet, LSS galore.

2. The Villar jingle. It was overplayed to the point it was a fault, and had a follow-up jingle to it. But nothing beat the first. But I will never, ever want to swim in a sea of garbage. XD

3. The banter between the presidentiables, which went as far as getting psychological tests. Outrageous, I say.

elections, politics
