Augh. Curse me and my poor self control. Apparently there's a Life spoiler floating around and I couldn't help myself and I clicked and now I wish I hadn't.
I can't wait for Fall but now that there are spoilers around I have to admit I'm feeling nervous about the second season.

They're adding a new cop to the team named Captain Brian Tidwell. I'm hearing he's a rough around the edges hottie. Apparently he's got a thing for sports betting, whiskey and women. Sounds like the guy is a bit of a mess, but in the most endearing sort of way. - Kristin Dos Santos
I don't know about adding another cop into the team, especially with someone that sounds like a merging of Dani and Charlie's personalities. I bet he and the LT don't get along. Or, maybe they do.
I'm just concerned they might forget to focus on Dani.
No, I'll just be zen about it and take special care not to click on spoilers anymore. But I want assurances that Dani will not be pushed aside because of this maverick captain. Augh. Okay, zen.
But, oh, I'm so happy Life continues to gain new fans, annakovsky, ainsley and firthgirl are now hooked on Life!
My excitement over new fans has nothing at all to do with the potential fic that may arise from their enthusiasm. Yep.

Lovely vid and I love the shifting points of views and how the lyrics fit both Reese and Crews. Like the summary says, it's about mutal life support.

pers_pineapple is also back from its mini-hiatus and will be discussing Serious Control Issues! One of my top five episodes I rewatch (which is saying a lot). See you guys on Wednesday!

Just to prove I haven't gone scarily mono-fannish again I've also mainlined the first two seasons of Criminal Minds. I have to admit, this show has surprised me in a lot of ways, I still wince from all the gore but it's well written and the characters are all engaging. I especially love Garcia and... uh, Shemar Moore's (I get really distracted when he's on screen, I can't even remember his name straight!) relationship. They're so adorable.
Much as I liked Elle in the first season I have to admit Emily works a lot better in terms of team dynamic. I thought when she first arrived she was crossing the Mary Sue territory but the writers pulled back and showed us that Emily really is just incredibly dorky and slightly socially awkward.
Biggest surprise of all? Thomas Gibson. The dude from Dharma and Greg! He can act all serious and intense and I buy it!
The Inside's Paul Ryan has a lot in common with Hotch, they even look alike in certain angles.
Torchwood has done the impossible, it made me care about Owen! Owen, the guy I hated with a thousand burning suns is now someone I care about in the show! My mind, it boggles.
I skipped Meat and Adam and immediately jumped into the Martha episodes. She works real well in Torchwood too and this time I think Freema grew into her role. But after the Martha heavy episodes I was disappointed that her role was reduced significantly at each passing episode until it was clear the writers didn't know how to write both Gwen and Martha.
re: Owen's arc. Someone really loved Death Becomes Her, huh? I do wonder where they're going with this though.
And, wow, does Jack never learn or what?
