11. The Devouring - Simon Holt Ok, first off let me tell you that it was a quick read. I started it at lunch and read half of it. After I got home, I knocked out the other half in an hour. It technically was a horror story. It had all the right elements but it was lacking something. There really was no suspense, I knew how it was going to turn out. The end set up for a sequel but I couldn't care less. I won't be reading it.

I didn't hate it but, I give it an apathetic meh **stars
