SES overalls (a big read!)
What a friggin' night! So much for expecting to have a nice quiet night doing sweet FA, i took remo and jimmy out to do an exersice recce for next week, couldnt really find anywhere suitable, got back to ses, just bludged around for a while while the rest of the group was off doing an ex. I headed off with remo to our 3rd office, then got a call from fred needing a lift home. seems he got the arse from work and was pretty upset ovet it. so took him home, then went back home, and what do i find in my overalls pocket?
The bloody landcruiser keys. so it's a mad rush back to SESpool to return the keys. I also had to run back to ses last week as i forgot my new boots and left them outside.
I think it is going to be one of those years at ses. Even though i'm not instructing as much, it's still a bugger trying to organise exersices that keep them interested and focussed. I have a couple of big ones planned for later this year that will be good.
work is going good, but i am still screwing some orders up, but it should be all ok when i am shown more on the computer. The other guy, steve is back tomorrow from a week off, so it should work out. i am really enjoying it, as i seem to be loosing weight, and i get a pretty good workout lifting and lugging crap around all day. I also do a fair bit of walking too. I am thinking of starting martial arts with paul and that as well, and going to the gym.
I was thinking about the fi/fo work, and dont think thats for me. i have allready done fi/fo work, and if i was younger, might do it. but i am happy here at the moment.I havent got my forklift or crane ticket yet, but should get them soon. I have to wait until my probationary period is over. I am also going to get my truck licence, as i think i want to do that is a few years. I allready have job offers in the trucking industry, with a couple of companies.
I'm just going to stay here for a few years and see how it goes. This is my first real full time job, making some good money, and really enjoying it.
I was reading your page, but couldn't reply to your comment as it kept timing out. I think the choise you have to make is up to you, you can work it all out in your head, but i think it is the heart you need to listen too as well. I know how it is to be away from your family, and i know how they mean to you, but sydney could also be a good choice for you. an opportunity to grow, make some new friends, and make some money and further your career.
I'm just going to spend some me time, work on my job with a few tickets and licences, see where i am in a few years, and go from there.
