Notice of friends...
Random thoughts in my head, god help you if you make it all the way through:
A handful of friends have dropped of the face of the earth, seeming never to be heard from again. But at the same time, a handful of friends who I rarely get the chance to talk to have resurfaced and are becoming more social then ever.
Its weird how this circle always happens. As much as I would like to make the effort to keep every one social all the time, I don't have the energy or will power to make it happen. I guess in the end we can only do our best to make due with what we have.
I remember in high school how close a number of friends were to me, and when we all got together imagining we would all be that way for years. Then within 6 months, to a year, things drastically change. Groups are dissolved, friends are enemies, and best friends arch enemies. (Note this happens after high school as well.) Through it all, only one or two remain out of every group it seems.
Enemies come back, to be friends, to be enemies, to be friends again. Grudges are held, feelings are hurt, words that probably aren't meant are said, trust dishonored, and ties severed. Yet through it all, towards the end, almost all grudges are dropped against all.
However, no matter how many times we forgive and forget, or live and let die, the blind trust that we once gave a stranger, will never be given back again. Not to mention, that it only takes a slight thought of doubt to shatter, the new rebuilt, yet weaker trust given.
Human nature is amazing. When words say nothing, body language and actions tell all.
