Can't... breathe...

Ok, so I know I have inherited like the worst sinuses in the universe. Consequently, adjusting to the climate here has been rough. Yesterday I unable to breathe all day. Everything was a thick, syrupy fog from the antihistimines. Today it is better, but I realize I am going to have a sore throat in the morning.

Joy.

Yesterday was pleasant. We spent it on Hawthorne, the alternative street. Saw some cool shops and what not, but since I am not here to shop per se, I didn't come away with anything.

We did find the coolest little magazine ever in a bar we stopped in... it was a listing of all the bars and clubs in the city, including a description, and a listing of their events if they had any. We found several clubs on the list that we WOULD have gone to if we had known about what was going on earlier.

We tried to go to a club near our hotel, but they were having some Performance Art night, and it looked really, really lame.

So we went back to the room, watched some TV and turned in early. I know, I know, I am the epitome of excitement, aren't I?

Overall, I would have to say that I am interested in Portland, as a place to live, but it hasn't 'wowed' me to the point where I would move heaven and earth to come here. I think that Moriarty6 is more content with it than I am, but that's cool. You really can't swing a dead cat without hitting a coffee place here, so I understand the attraction.
