I am having a lazy sort of day filled with its very own list of things that I should be doing, things that range from finishing laundry to wrapping the last of me Christmas gifts to setting up my new voice studio upstairs. I am a lazy child that is true enough, but I do love to tell myself that I should be doing more. Should should should should should
So I start with something small. I edit a page or two (or five) of my book. I bring the equipment for the studio up to my room. I pull out my boxes of CDs and stack them next to the new cases I bought last month. Then I feel a little better and maybe I even get a little bit more done, just 'cause I'm on a role.
And that is how I spent my day: watching reruns of Burn Notice while I wrapped my friends' gifts and bag them for transportation. I got the stuff for the studio upstairs, and while I was up there, I put the laundry in the dryer. The house is still a mess and I never got to the gym. But I did get some good stuff done. For now I am grateful for that.
Hope people have a happy New Year's Eve. I will be working. Don't feel bad for me, I volunteered.
