When Chris and I were apartment hunting we ran across one place that pissed us off so royally, I had to tell my friends about these people, in hopes that we could communicate with them enough to get a change made.

Under their policy it is stated that 'All cats must be declawed.'How many cat lovers are on this site? Now how many of you think

That's appalling. Declawing isn't even legal here and is classed as animal cruelty. If you don't want cats damaging an apartment, fine, ban cats in the leasehold agreement. But don't ask people to subject them to this agonising procedure that leaves many animals suffering permanent pain in their feet.

It should be illegal here too. I actually put in my Better Business Bureau complaint that if the damage was such an issue, don't allow cats. It's much simpler than requiring pet owners to put their pets through so much pain and risk.

I've filed a complaint on S&H Realty with the Better Business Bureau, and I'm trying to get ahold of Fort Worth area SPCA and Humane Society chapters. I also got a lead on an animal rescue magazine called Urban Animal, whom I think will want to hear about these people.
