I dreamt not a movie last night, but a whole damn series. The story just kept going. It was cool, if angsty at times.
The main character in the dream was Reno, the Turk from FFVII and Advent Children, and the first weirdness was that Turks were not only ShinRa's bad-ass thugs, they were also, somehow... archeologists. I do not get this job combo, but that's dreams for you. What took up more dream-time than that was that Turks were also responsible for negotiating/advocating for the rights of alien races who were dying out or otherwise in trouble. This is the weird thing now that I'm awake: seeing Reno, who is basically a mean, smart thug, really empathizing with these aliens who are oppressed or dying off. There was this one scene where he was taking notes talking to this dying alien woman, and there was this legal thing he and his partner wanted to file to try to help, but they knew it would be too late, the race was already too close to gone. That was really sad.
At the same time there was this love story going on between Reno and his partner, whose name was something like Amon or Amos. I am a hardcore Rude/Reno enthusiast, but this guy was really cool.
Gah, dreams are so hard to explain, because they met when they were kids, but Reno was already a Turk anyway, and beh. It was adorable, and then it was really sad when Amos... died? Vanished? The dream skipped exactly what happened, but he was gone and Reno just sort of stopped. And then Amos came back - alternate universes colliding or something, unclear again - and Reno came back alive and it was awesome.
And there was SO MUCH MORE than this, but hard to explain.
Also, I wrote this on my new tablet. It was for my birthday because my dad is very good to me. I have already made amazing arts I did not know I could draw.
I'm still flat in bed, and koi is still barely better off than me, but life is better than it was.
