I agree! When their UCCs came out I thought that she would be main dancer + supporting vocals. And even though she turned out to be one of the main singers, in the beginning of ITNW days I still thought she was one of the stronger dancers but her energy went down after GG..and yeah she hasn't quite re-energized(?!). I think in her early years of training she was supposed to be "the next Boa" so they focused equally on singing and dancing, but after SNSD, they needed to specialize the girls in certain areas so Sica was designated as a "main singer". As for Sica herself, I kinda see her as SNSD's Jaejoong haha. Both of them are percieved as being kinda lazy and lost in their own world so its like part of their image to not dance powerfully ^.^
But the thing that kinda bothers me is that Jessica also sings her beginning parts in Gee and Genie really softly which adds to less energy..like in Genie, she's barely audible sometimes.Especially the times I've seen them live..i don't know if the key is a little low for her or something.. cos then during the adlibs towards the end, she's loud and powerful ..so maybe she's reserving energy for that??
Anyway, I guess it bothers me cos even though her voice is thin, its actually really strong. When she really belts it out, it's beautiful.Like when she sang Heaven or her early duets with Taeyeon on the radio!*i want more of that!* Another great quality of Sica is her ability to harmonize..like when they sing ITNW acapella or S.E.S's I love you.
Also, speaking of harmonizing, I keep getting impressed by SeoHyun.Like when she harmonized with everyone during Beautiful Restriction(on Lalala), it just made the song!! And the Because you loved me TaeSeo duet *floored*
re: the girls' first kiss. I agree w/your chart--except I would say SeoHyun and SooYoung maybe not and everyone else, yes. SeoHyun cos she is SeoHyun:P and Syoung cos she's pretty honest and if she says she's never had a bf before I kinda believe her:D.Most of her interactions with the SM Town boys,they all kinda treat her as one of the boys(in a really cute way!)haha. As for Hyo, I remember that in one of their earliest interviews they were asked this and Hyo was the first one to raise her hand saying she hadn't, followed by Seo and then all the other girls.But then I think there was another article or something where she admitted she had..don't remember clearly~~. I'm pretty sure the 89ers have all had their first kisses..haha
and dating.. hmm..It is a possibility..I can say for a fact that certain Suju and DBSK members are in a relationship and most of them probably have had at least one girlfriend after debut. As for Soshi, I've heard about a few of them but nothing's confirmed cos most of the people I run into aren't their fans T.T I dunno.. it may say so in the contract but I think its their personal decision not to get into a relationship during the early years. As for Hyo, since she does have so much time on her hands, I hope she has a boyfriend or someone to keep her company after all her ultimate goal has always been to find love and have a family..plus she has so many eligible hotties around her keke..right now I'm shipping HyoJunyoung,JunHyo and HyOnew :P
