Remember when Jessica used to dance like this (UCC), this, this, this, this, and this (even in that little bit she's hitting it hard and precise)?

SSF released subs of the YuRi & SeoHyun cut of Lee Seunggi Ideal Type World Cup on "Champagne" (1 2) and besides the LOL genius of SeungGi's mobius strip decisions, the teasing tongue-in-cheek talk about SeoHyun's lack of a first kiss made me wonder which of the SNSD's members have experienced their first kiss. I can believe that SeoHyun hasn't yet but . . . I can easily see the others having gotten theirs (though it would be kind of LOL to think that YoonA might not have and had to "kiss" SangWoo--and I use scare quotes because that was a sad on-screen kiss). In fact, didn't Fany say she had her first kiss while playing spin the bottle? =D Hrm, though I guess if I had to make a spectrum of least likely to have had her first kiss already to most likely to have experienced it probably before debut it'd go:
Perhaps hasn't happened yet: SeoHyun --> YoonA --> SooYoung /--> YuRi
Most likely done deal: TaeYeon --> Jessica/Sunny/HyoYeon --> Tiffany
. . . But they're all more than old enough for a first kiss to have happened during their high school years. I mean, the '89ers debuted around the tail end of their senior years and the '90ers in their junior years and SeoHyun in her sophomore year (which would've been 1st year high school over there, no?).

Ursula K. Le Guin's young adult Annals of the Western Shore fantasy trilogy (Gifts, which I've talked about before, Voices, Powers) feels like an ode to storytelling and literature. All the protagonists are essentially educated "makers," or tale crafters and/or poets. And was that a jab at literary critics?: "People generally know better than the workman how the work is done, and tell him; and he might as well keep his opinions to himself" - Powers. The books and the world also feel like sociological thought experiments as each country she lays out has different governments, castes/hierarchies, and gender divides. I like how Le Guin is very aware when she's writing in either gender. Powers really kind of brought home an unconscious gender privilege in our male protagonist Gavir, who doesn't have to deal with the same sexual issues and vulnerabilities that his female counterparts do. Ever since . . . Left Hand of Darkness maybe, the undercurrents of gender discussion and examination has been a staple, I think, of Le Guin's writing. I like it.
For those who like their "Top Chef" with a huge heaping of snark, Max Silvestri has done Season 6 episode recaps @ Eater NY. Some of it is hilariously wrong.
ETA: OMG! So, I was going through K Bite's archives because I was like, "Let's see what I'm missing out on in the K-pop world." And then I saw a subbed version of the first episode of new talk show "Strong Heart," which YoonA guested on. So I was watching and then I got ridiculously excited. Was it seeing Kim TaeWoo, Big Bang's G-Dragon and SeungRi, Epik High's Tablo, or Solbi? NO! It was unexpectedly seeing Moon JungHee, one of the "Alone in Love" alumni! EEE! It brought back sweet memories of her and Kam WooSeong's character's bittersweet romance. It really speaks to how much I loved that drama that I get all fangirly when I see any of its actors pop up (Kam WooSeong, Son YeJin, Lee HaNa, and Moon JungHee particularly). <3! ZOMG!! Moon JungHee pulled out some Latin dance! I know she was in a movie where she played a player (Dance with the Wind, I believe) and eeee! Moon JungHee! I had to seek out the raw just to see what she brought to the talk show. <3 <3 <3
