popping the question
You ever wonder, if you ever got the chance and you only had time to ask one, what that ONE question would be that you would pose to your admired idol/celebrity/etc?
I think, if I had the chance and could only ask one question, I'd ask Hyo: Do you help arrange any of the choreography for SNSD or other projects?
Because why does no one ever seem to pose this question directly to the girls? If I had a UFO account, you can bet I'd spam the forums asking Hyo that every time SNSD has a dance performance or new album. And since Hyo doesn't seem to answer all that often, I'd do so hoping one of the other members might provide some enlightenment. The not-knowing if she has a hand in any of it drives me nuts simply because GGTS suggested that it's quite possible that the girls have put together their own dance pieces. (GGTS drives me crazy because we don't know if and how much the girls worked with SM's choreographers to put together their School of Rock performance.)
Because how cool would that be? The boy bands--like SuJu and Big Bang specifically--often have members who have been allowed to choreograph some of their songs, but is there an example of a girl group who has a member who has done the choreography? Someone who has a vast knowledge of Asian pop, can you help me out here? I know CSJH's Stephanie is a well-known dancer--anyone know if she had a hand in any of CSJH's works?
And it's not for lack of female choreographers in the industry because although we've seen from BTS that the SM choreographers that work with the girls are men, Rino Nakasone (<3!) has worked with SHINee and SNSD, while Kim HyeRang, who has taught Hyo and a multitude of other K-idols, has worked with Lee HyoRi. So it's not that odd to have a female choreographer . . . just odd to have a female idol choreographing?
ETA: I have since found out that the bulk of the choreography for what SNSD does--special shows and whatnot--must be the work of SM choreographer Shim JaeWon, as revealed through his own commentary and videos via his Cyworld page.
