The majority of people who think of themselves as creative/artistic types are mediocre at best (and yes, this may be coming from a place of jealousy as my creative/artistic spark is completely non-existent) and people like the girl who took this photo and especially that insanely talented rare bird
Luxirare underscore that fact.
I love the internet for bringing this to light. The girl in college who thought she was hot shit because, admittedly, she was the most fashionable/artistic/creative/unique snowflakey of that particular crowd is exposed as a mere speck on the radar when combined with the true talent the world over.
I think when art and creative expression are done for personal reasons, it can be profoundly beautiful and unique in its own right, regardless of mediocrity. I guess I've just become hyper-critical and cynical having known too many art school students over the years who couldn't get enough of their own talent and are so quick to judge the lesser beings surrounding them in their tiny bubble.
