Leaving School and all that jazz...

May 11, 2008 15:59

Today was my official last day as a pupil of Thornden School. As of Monday, we are 'no longer pupils, this is just your exam centre' to quote our lovely headteacher. (No, he really is lovely, that's not just sarcasm) It's quite a scary thought. You spend your whole life longing for more freedom, for escape, for waking up whenever the hell you want and going to bed whenever the hell you want... and all of a sudden, you've got it. Yearbooks were lovely, as were all the beautiful comments people had written in them.

I've got exams now until the eleventh of June and then my time at Thornden is over.

I've met some great people, learnt some great lessons, done some great things.

I'll miss it.

But, horrible cliche as it is, it's time for a new chapter of life to start, a new beginning entirely and Steph and I have plans to be 'hot' for college.

Great.South.Run.

It's ten miles, in Portsmouth on the 26th October. I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry at the thought of it. I'm a crap runner. Today I ran (on and off, my stamina is crap) for like seven minutes, round like 3/4 of a mile. My level of absolute crapness is not even funny.

Dearie me.

As far of TV of the moment goes, I missed everything last night (That's Doctor Who, I'd Do Anything, Pushing Daisies AND CSI NY) because we went to my cousin Steve's leaving party. He's going to Australia for seven months. I spent the evening entertaining his friend's eleven and nine year old sisters. Geez.

Jess, Steph and I complained about our non-existent love-lives on friday night, and then watched enchanted. (Don't groan.)

Finally downloaded itunes to the new computer. Finally uploaded camera pictures.

Revisetime.
