The Catcher in the Rye

No link or what-so-ever to the novel and poem of the same name.
I have good and bad news for all at the bottom of the fic but for now, enjoy~

warning: unbeta-ed

The wind tousled the brown locks as the Catcher closed his eyes and enjoyed the gentle breeze of the still and dark night. His nose twitched as a dandelion seed flew past. A soft creaking of the trees masked the soft and almost silent footsteps from below. The Catcher opened his eyes and peered into the darkness as everywhere around him fell silent. He stood up, silent like a ghost, and grabbed his rope before jumping into the darkness below.

A tall figure stood in the clearing as the wind threw and messed up the blonde locks of the figure. The Catcher peered from his hiding place as an eagle screeched from above. The figure, a man, twitched slightly as a wild hare bounced past him and its long ears brushed his ankle. The Catcher observes the man and await for his chance to capture him.

A soft melodious ring came from the man's jeans' pocket as he pulled out a phone and answered the call. His voice was deep and soft as he argued in hushed tones to the person who called. After a while, the Catcher believes it was eternity, he snapped the device shut and fell on the rye field before folding his long arms beneath his head and closed his eyes. The Catcher narrowed his eyes on the figure and let out a sigh.

"He shall be allowed to live for another day. If he comes back tomorrow, I'll end his life with my own hands." The Catcher whispered and disappeared into the shadows.

The man appeared again the next day and the Catcher growled dangerously before he fired an arrow near the man's head. The man jumped and back away from the woods where the Catcher lies in ambush. He tripped and made his way dangerously near the edge of the cliff however, before he free falls down, the Catcher threw his rope around the thin wrist of the guy and pulled him back just in time. The Catcher himself was thrown forward, into the soft moonlight, as the man kneels on the damp grass, catching his breath from the fright just now.

The Catcher kept his rope and was about to leave the place quickly, his wrist was stopped in place by a huge pair of hands. The man heaved heavy breaths as he looked at the Catcher earnestly,

"Thank you." He breathes as the hold on the Catcher's wrist loosen.

The Catcher nod sharply and wriggled his wrist away from any contact. He turned and walked away just as the man called out again.

"I'm Kris and I would like to thank you again for saving me."

The Catcher hid a smile and nodded curtly as he continued walking away. Just as he reached the ege of the forest, the Catcher stopped and looked up.

"Since you told me your name, let me tell you mine. I'm Junmyeon. But a friendly advice for you, don't just give your name out to anyone; not everyone is as nice as me, your highness."

With that, the Catcher disappears into the blanket of darkness leaving the man behind whispering his name over and over again.

Yayyyyyyy for a crappy drabble on Krisho. I'm so sorry guise, I know you have been for so long for my krisho comeback and all I can offer to you nice huggable darlings ((you know who you are but I'll still tag. torakiss, chanloos, kira_min18, potatostick and Coney )) is a crappy drabble. //hands everyone a cookie for apology//

Good news! My krisho muse came back a little and that's why this drabble is here. Yayyyyyy? But hey, I'm sorry... This is all I can write for now.

Bad news! I'm going to go on full fanfic writing hiatus until idk when. I really need to focus on my studies and do well and it is a promise I made to myself. So this marks my last fanfic until the hiatus is lifted by yours truly. I know you guys might think the last fic will be an Arashi one but yayyyyyy for surprise, it is a Krisho.

But really guise, who know when will I pop back and post a random drabble?
//hugs everyone tightly//
