Review 3: Flight Control HD

I only picked this up on special as part of the steam promo where completing a certain number of objectives put you into the draw to win a bazillion games. I didn’t win so fuck you Flight Control HD.

Aside from that it is a fairly decent example of an attention and reflexes game where you have to draw the flight paths for incoming planes and choppers at various types of airport. However, it suffers from a common problem in indie games, no smooth learning curve. I found the game to be incredibly easy until it wasn’t, in which the next step up is effectively replace all aircraft with a swarm of drunken angry bees.

This really kills its replayability for me as being too easy has me loading Solitaire instead for my ½ hour chill out and being too hard means it won’t even be considered for chill out time.

It isn’t a completely terrible game, but unless you are a twitch gamer looking for a non-standard twitch game or have a sick obsession with the movie Pushing Tin, there are better ways to waste your time.
