My supervisor brought up in our Outreach Brief meeting this week that if one of the team were to die and/or vanish while outreaching on a Friday, she wouldn't find out about it until Monday (or, in my case, Tuesday), so now if we do outreach on a Friday, we're supposed to call her in the afternoon and let her know we're not dead. I definitely texted her, "I didn't get killed today" when I got home.
I saw a heron in a tree today that a random couple in a park pointed out to me. It was pretty cool, but it was strange to see it in a tree, because usually when I see herons they're in the water. This one looked cold. It was all puffed up and standing on one leg. I also saw some very strange ducks (at least I think they were ducks) at Green Lake Park that sounded EXACTLY like squeak toys.
I've been working on a piece of tapestry crochet and it's making me blind. So now it's time for cake. Cake cures blindness, right? It should, I mean, it's CAKE.
Also,
Charlotte is none too happy to have her picture taken.
This is why I constantly have a stiff neck. Lilith has claimed my pillow.
Merry's fat. But she's SOOOOOO CUTE.
