From Jean Grey's journal.

'Karma. It means getting what you deserve and deserving what you recieve. It's the force that moves the world. Keeps it running. Yin and yang. Balance. What a crock.

There's no magic force out there that decides right and wrong, that rewards the just and punishes the unworthy. I've seen enough in my life to know as much. I've seen the worst mankind has to offer be given a free reign to discriminate, destroy, pollute and hate. I've seen corrupt government officials taking the people they supposedly represent to the cleaners. Kindly old men who molest the young girls in their keeping. Brilliant scientists who test their hypothesis on suffering victims.

I've seen sweet little girls who were warped and twisted by those in power until there is no longer any trace of humanity left. The elderly left to panhandle on the street, because their retirement isn't enough to survive on. Innocent man and women ripped to pieces because they have the wrong gene.

So do I believe in karma? Hell no.'
