Hey again. I'm supposed to be studying for my two anthropology exams tomor- er, today, but of course this comes first. J/K, I swear I'm going to study as soon as I post this! I've got my books laid out and everything.
I talked to the doctor at the clinic on Friday and explained everything and he wrote me a 30-day prescription. So, I started today. Well, yesterday, Monday. Yay focus! Haha. Maybe I do have a psychological dependency on it, but it helps. We'll see how it goes.
I finally brought up some stuff to my counselor yesterday that I've wanted to talk about, and she actually scheduled me to come in again today, which is good, because I need to talk about it soon. Anyway, sorry to be all LJ-cryptic, but yeah. Already she said some things I have to think hard about. Briley, I may have some answers to what we've talked about--why I get into the, um, messes I seem to end up in.
Rugby practice today (okay, you know I mean Monday by now) was really good. It was intense. We practiced tackling. I think I'm going to have some killer bruises on my knees. Also we finally worked a little bit with the pack and the backs together (in English, that's the offense and defense), which I think helped us develop more cohesiveness as a team. What really helped me the most so far was practicing with the guys team last week. For some reason on Thursday only four or five people showed up for practice, and Coach Mark couldn't make it, so the guys invited us to play with them. We played a regular game, but with two-hand-tag instead of tackling. I was able to see how everyone works together and why we do things the way we do. That was a great practice.
Mom and Dad are really iffy about me playing rugby. They haven't said they want me to stop, but they're worried about it taking time away from school. As they have pointed out on multiple occasions, I am back in school to graduate, not to play sports. I know, I know, I keep saying, but it's definitely easy to let it take over and to schedule life around rugby instead of school. Speaking of which, I need to study.
Oh! In other news, I haven't been online nearly as much in the past week and a half. Go me. :) Rugby is part of the reason, and the other is sort of confusing. Maybe I'll let you in on it later. Come see us play this Saturday! The game starts at 2pm! Love you guys.
PS: If I have time tomorrow I'll update about this weekend, which was supercrazyfun.
