Outward bound

It has come down to use-it-or-lose-it on the vacation calendar so I have decided to make a trip to see my grandfather and parents in Nebraska. I will be leaving on the 3rd and returning on the 11th. I've been meaning to go and my cousin Rick's 25th Wedding Anniversary on the 4th gives me a good reason.(First and second weekend of October accounted) ( Read more... )

I'm very sorry about your cousin not being there to help with expenses, but glad I'll get to see you in OCT.

I worry more about the driving than the expenses :) Long trips used to be a problem, but I've learned to start early and stop as needed. (Lots of coffee)

True, long drives alone can get tedious. I used to fight o stay awake driving from Atlanta to Charlotte when I did the travel assignment. of course working night shift didn't help

greenville is a good inbetween for charlotte & atlanta..

I usually stop at Quik Trips. Give me the directions though and I will stop for coffee. Greenville is a good inbetween.
