Well, I see they finally made the LJ bullshit redesign fuck-up mandatory. Anyway...
Quick, because there's too much work and not enough of me. Wednesday was a complete disaster. I realized there was a HUGE problem with the scene I'd written over the two previous days (Red Delicious, Chapter Two). And I'm not good with even minor rewrites (as everyone who reads this knows). And lots of self doubt. And I pretty much literally freaked out. Which is why the nice psychiatrist lady gives me all these pretty pills.
I wrote nothing. I stepped away from the iMac, and I went back to it yesterday.
Yesterday, I calmly sat down and fixed the mess - which, while genuinely a messy mess, wasn't actually that big a deal, after all - and wrote an additional 1,504 words.
Yesterday, the CEM for The Ape's Wife and Other Stories appeared on my back doorsteps...
Also, I bought a new laser printer yesterday, which I've only been needing to do for about a year.

I awoke to the news of the largest confirmed meteor impact with the Earth since the 1908 Tunguska explosion. This is history, kittens. The year's not going to get any cooler than that. Also, it'll be about 1:26 p.m. EST here in Providence when Asteroid 2012-DA14 makes it close pass over Asia.
