"The world turns too fast. Feel love before it's gone."

The Dancy Box went up yesterday at 2:23 p.m. CaST. It is going...well, it's amazing how well it's going. My thanks to the bidders. Also I should note that the proceeds will be going for an eye exam and new glasses I've needed for years. Also, there are a couple of other items up on eBay, and I would feel remiss not mentioning them ( Read more... )

the drowning girl, sirenia, dancy, winter, dark horse, warcraft, the bone's prayer, avatar, deaths, "best of crk" project

I've held the same opinion regarding extended editions of films. I felt the LOTR trilogy extended editions became more indulgent as the epic neared it's conclusion. I'll have to reconsider picking up the longer, enhanced Avatar.
And thanks for the comment about our ripples. We all matter to others in one way or another. We don't even know all we may touch or influence. Our humanity touches and lingers within other lives. For some it is their only legacy.

I have to disagree. The LotR extended cuts are so much better paced and edited. They're they only ones I watch now.

For that matter, there's a whole subplot that was absent from the theatrical release. I'm speaking of the story of what happened at Dr. Augustine's school and to Neyteri's sister, Sylwanin (a character who isn't even mentioned in the shorter cut). These scenes inform much of both Augustine and Neyteri's actions (and happen to include Sigourney Weaver's best lines).

That's very cool. I'm sorry that material was deleted; character work never should be.

I'm sorry to hear she died. I went to look at her profile page & user pics. She seems like she was a very cool person.

She often had made interesting and astute observations here.

I was starring at the DVDs of Avatar in the local video shop last weekend. Side by side. Could not decide. Your input helps. Extended version it is.

I'll be your goblin warrior. Maybe I'll even name her huckleberry (nah, not really). But I like getting in there and fighting, probably because I've been a rogue for 5 years. So being my ranged forsaken hunter has been weird. A warrior might be fun. Lately I need an outlet for my rage, since there are no "boxing" gyms around. I got my expansion yesterday. We're going to be eating a lot of mac and cheese and ramen before Yule.

Hope the Dancy Box does well and pays for what you need and even more.

It really is worth it.

I'll be your goblin warrior.

Excellent.

Yay! Warrior :)

I'm still deciding between priest and shaman. I'm more familiar with being a priest, and the idea of a goblin shaman just seems weird to me, so I will probably go the priest route. Which gives us warlock, priest, mage and warrior.

Hunters are amazing for solo. Better, before they totally screwed up the lifeblood ability given by herbalism. I really relied on that for back-up healing and now it's like putting a piece of paper over a gushing wound.

Yeah, I have Lifeblood on my Main Rogue. And Rogues, never get any love (see the Turkey shooter achievment for that...or whatever it's called) and are the last in any raid to get healed. My potion master and lifeblood were my savior in any raid. So, I suppose we'll see what's next.

Also, I'll be buying several copies of The Year's Best Dark Fantasy and Horror 2010 which features your story (which I have not yet read). Thank you for mentioning it! One copy will be for me, and the rest will be given as gifts to my circle of speculative fiction friends.
