Your Name Here

Sunny and cold again today. Our high was 55F, after a ow of 27F.

I woke this morning at 3 a.m. Again. So, I got up, I read a while, then I wrote. On The Night Watchers. Later in the day, it was all work on MP2. But it occurred to me, if people could see the wild swing between the two sorts of work I do in a single day...like so...

1. The Night Watchers:

And I'm thinking how it's a shame there ain't more of these turncoat sonsabitches, 'cause I'd be happy to keep this up the whole night long, and Suzy, well, she is shamelessly listening in, and she says, "Only then, Joe Jack, when would you get around to fuckin' me?" And there's that lovely half-moon smile that cleaves my very soul in twain. And I says back, I says, "Ain't no law against fucking after sunrise, last time I checked." Suzy, she snickers, and me, I snap the breach of the scattergun shut again, and I say, "Now stand back, hun. This one here's mine all mine," as Snitch Number Three slips out of a room on my left and makes a cowardly break for the front door. Right. Like that's ever gonna happen. Not no way, not no how. I squeeze those two triggers and BOOM, baby, BOOM.

2. MP2 (courtesy Lynn H.):

In the region of the type locality, outcrops frequently expose sets of normal and reverse faults (horst-graben complexes), primarily trending NW-SE and dipping 45° SW or NE, that are associated with activity along the post-Cretaceous Livingston Fault Zone (Monroe and Hunt, 1958).In the lower portion of the Muldrow is a bed about 8 inches (20 cm) thick containing abundant euhedral biotite crystals and other volcanically derived minerals (Monroe, 1941; Monroe and Hunt, 1958; Dockery and Thompson, 2016). In the early 1990s, a sanidine crystal collected from a quarry in Lowndes County, Mississippi, was radiometrically analyzed and yielded a numerical age of 75.4 Ma, with neither the range of uncertainty nor the isotopes that were measured reported (Obradovich per. comm. in Dockery, 1996; Dockery and Thompson, 2016).This date is slightly younger than expected given the stratigraphic position of the ash-rich layer and the currently accepted biostratigraphic age of the member. Efforts are presently underway to reexamine radiometrically datable minerals from this layer using more modern instruments and analytical methods...

That's a day around here. Oh, I didn't get to McWane today, because Spooky had a mingraine. Hopefully tomorrow.

I think that's enough for now. But PLEASE visit the Dreaming Squid Sundries shop, as the Rent Party is ongoing. Thank you.

Later Tater Beans,
Aunt Beast
