Very hot today. A heat advisory. Our high was 96.1, with a heat index of 104F.
I did another 1,003 words on the new vignette today (it still has no title), and I hope to finish it in the morning. I worked more on the signature pages, but I must still have almost half of them left to go. So, that was work today.
I began reading Dacre Stoker and Ian Holt's Dracula the Un-Dead, because having read Dracul I figured what was there to lose? The afternoon's film was James Cameron's Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991). I am forming the opinion that Cameron films do not age very well. You look at Aliens (1986) and Terminator 2: Judgment Day and they are so painfully dated in almost every way. And the special effects have not aged especially well, particularly in the latter case. By comparison, Ridley Scott's original 1979 Alien looks so fresh, it might have been made only a decade ago. Maybe less. Oh, and we've started watching Gen V (spinoff of The Boys). I had not expected to like it, and we were just looking for something to pass a couple of hours before bed. But it's quite good, not the least for being a fairly astute comment on Gen Z, social media, and what American universities have become.
The more sleep I get, the more tired I seem to feel.
Please visit the shop. It's going a long way these days towards paying the bills. Thanks.
